1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Health Professionals Portal Uganda ("the platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. About the platform
The platform is a digital service that enables the licence tracking and administration of health professionals, councils, facilities and laboratories, including the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC) and the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC).
3. Accounts & eligibility
To access certain features you must create an account and provide accurate, current and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not provide false, misleading or fraudulent information.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' accounts.
- Do not use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of professional regulations.
- Do not interfere with the security or proper functioning of the platform.
5. Personal data & privacy
We process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019. For details of what we collect and how it is used, see the Data Protection & Privacy Notice. By using the platform you consent to such processing and confirm that information you provide is accurate.
6. Public register & verification
Certain information about registered practitioners and facilities may be published in the public register for transparency and verification purposes, in line with the councils' statutory obligations.
7. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, logos and software on the platform are the property of the respective councils or their licensors and are protected by law. You may not reproduce or distribute content without prior written permission.
8. Third-party links
The platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those sites.
9. Disclaimers & liability
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that information is always complete or up to date. To the extent permitted by law, the councils shall not be liable for any loss arising from use of the platform.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
